Student Policies
Refund & Withdrawal Policy
OBN stands behind our courses and offers a two-week satisfaction guarantee on all program enrollments. Students will receive a full tuition refund should they choose to withdraw from the program in the first 14 days after enrollment.
Upon enrollment, students will have limited access to a preview of module 1 from each of our core courses (Fertility, Pregnancy, Postpartum, and Baby Nutrition). This preview is designed to get you well acquainted with how our courses are delivered during the two-week satisfaction guarantee period.
After this initial two-week period, no refunds will be issued and tuition is due in full for any students who withdraw from the program. Failure to select your courses and/or program start date does not impact this policy.
If you decide to withdraw for any reason, you are required to submit a Withdrawal Request Form. The date of your withdrawal will be considered as the date/time (Pacific Time) that we receive your withdrawal request form submission. Students are required to complete our Withdrawal Survey prior to being issued any tuition refunds.
In cases where a Program Deferral has been granted, you will no longer be eligible for any refunds if you decide to withdraw from the Program during or after the deferral period. Refer to Program Deferral Policy for additional details.
Course Selection & Program Start Date:
Your course selection and start date must be finalized upon enrollment, respectively, depending on which certification program you have chosen. Failure to complete these requirements within 14 days of enrollment will result in your losing access to all learning materials until your selection is completed. In this case, our normal refund policy will apply should you choose to withdraw for any reason.
Withdrawal Re-enrollment:
- Should you withdraw from the program without completing any certifications and wish to re-enroll at a later date, you will have to enroll as a new student and pay all associated enrollment and tuition fees again.
- If you’ve enrolled in a multi-certification program (Advanced, Master I, or Master II) and have completed one (1) or more Certifications, but not all of the Certifications for your program, and you wish to return to complete your program in its entirety, you are able to purchase an upgrade to do so.
You are not eligible to re-enroll in the program if you:
- (1) Fail to pay off the tuition balance owed after a withdrawal.
- (2) Issue a chargeback at any time.
- (3) you have been removed from the program for previous history of plagiarism.
Extension & Incompletion Policy
Extension Period Subscription
If you have not completed the Program by the Graduation Deadline and wish to continue access to the Program content and obtain Certification, you may be granted continued access to the Program through an “Extension Period”.
- The Extension Period is a monthly subscription-based Extension Period and has a fee of $200 USD per additional month required.
- Your Extension Period will begin on the date you initiate the subscription and consecutive payments will occur automatically on the same date each month until you have completed the Program.
- After a monthly extension fee payment has been processed, it is not refundable.
- The Extension Period subscription must be initiated prior to your Graduation Deadline, as a continuation of your enrollment.
- Extension Periods cannot be paused or deferred, and upon cancellation of the plan, you will be automatically withdrawn from your program and lose access to all learning content if you have not met our graduation requirements.
You can apply for an Extension Period by sending an email request to support@ohbabynutrition.com.
Upon submission of all coursework during your Extension Period, you may request to have your payments paused while awaiting your final grades.
- This request must be sent via email to support@ohbabynutrition.com at least two (2) business days prior to your extension payment date in order to pause the payment.
- If your request is not received in time, that month’s payment will continue to be processed and subsequent payments will be paused thereafter or upon your graduation, whichever occurs first.
- If you do not pass the program after pausing your payments, you will need to resume your Extension Period Subscription and pay any applicable make up fees in order to regain access to the program content and resubmit your failed coursework.
Special Extension
In certain circumstances, and if a student has not previously deferred their studies, a one-time Special Extension may be granted with no additional fees, up to a maximum of three (3) months depending on your chosen Certification Program. A Special Extension Request Form must be submitted for approval two business days prior to your Graduation Deadline. If granted, the Special Extension will serve as a continuation of your enrollment for a maximum of three (3) months.
- If a Special Extension has been approved and granted, you fully understand and acknowledge that no additional Special Extensions may be requested or granted.
- Therefore, any and all additional extensions required beyond the maximum three (3) month period will fall under the standard Extension Period, which is a monthly subscription-based Extension Period with a fee of $200 USD per additional month required.
- The Extension Period will automatically commence at the end of a Special Extension if a student has not graduated from their Program.
Late Extension
If you fail to subscribe to an Extension Period or request a Special Extension prior to your Graduation Deadline and wish to complete the Program, you can request to re-enroll in the program by submitting a Late Extension Request Form within no more than six (6) months of your Graduation Deadline.
- If approved, you will be required to pay a re-enrollment fee of $500 USD, after which you are eligible for the standard subscription-based Extension Period at a fee of $200 USD per additional month required.
- Students who take a program deferral will no longer be eligible for a Late Extension.
Incomplete Program with No Extension
If it has been more than six (6) months past your Graduation Deadline and you have not submitted a request for an Extension or Program Deferral, then you will no longer be eligible for an Extension Period of any type.
If you have completed one (1) or more core courses in your Program, in addition to the completion of Foundational Nutrition, you will receive Certification and will be designated as a Certified Nutrition Consultant only in the course(s) which were successfully completed with a passing grade by your Graduation Deadline.
You will lose access to all learning content and will not receive Certification for any course(s) which are incomplete by your Graduation Deadline. You fully understand and acknowledge that you have failed to complete the Program and all its requirements for full Certification. In these instances, you forfeit any and all fees and tuition associated with your enrollment.
If you wish to return to complete your Program six (6) months or more after your Graduation Deadline, please refer to Withdrawal Re-enrollment in our Refund & Withdrawal Policy.
Failure & Make up Policy
Failure Policy
To successfully complete your Certification Program, you must have met the following requirements:
- Complete Foundational Nutrition successfully. Students who do not complete the Foundational Nutrition prerequisite course successfully will automatically fail their entire program and will not be eligible to continue with their core courses.
- Complete all required comprehension assignments with a cumulative average passing grade of at least 80% accuracy in each course. Students who do not pass the assignment portion of a course will be given the opportunity to purchase one (1) make up assignment per course. Please see make up policy below for more details.
- Complete all required client trials, each with a passing grade of at least 80% accuracy. Students who fail their client trial will be given the opportunity to purchase and submit one (1) make up client trial per original submission. Please see make up policy below for more details.
- Complete all final examinations, each with a passing grade of at least 80% accuracy in each course. Students who fail a final exam will be given the opportunity to purchase and submit one (1) make up final exam per course. Please see Make up Policy below for more details.
- Complete all quizzes, each with a passing grade of at least 80% accuracy in each course. Students have unlimited opportunities to retake quizzes until they reach a passing grade of 80%.
- Complete the program in its entirety, including all modules with the required reading of PDF learning materials, and viewing of all video lessons.
- Completion of the program by your graduation deadline or within your pre-approved extension period, if applicable.
Make up Policy
Should you receive less than a passing grade of 80% on a Client Trial, Final Exam, or the Assignment portion of a course, you have the opportunity to complete a make up under the following conditions:
Client Trials
Should you receive less than a passing grade of 80% on your Client Trial, you have the option to complete a make up Client Trial within four (4) weeks for a fee of $125 USD. You are not permitted to submit more than one (1) make up Client Trial per original submission.
- You will receive a final grade for your make up Client Trial of either ‘pass’ (a score of 80%) or ‘fail’ (a score of less than 80%).
- If you receive a ‘pass’ on your make up Client Trial, then a score of 80% will replace your previous score for that Client Trial and you will be eligible to receive certification.
- If you receive a ‘fail’ on your make up Client Trial, then you have failed to complete the course and its requirements for certification. In this case, you will forfeit any tuition/fees that have been paid and will be required to re-enroll in the course and pay all necessary enrollment and tuition fees again in order to be eligible for certification.
If you should score below 80% on a Client Trial and do not have four (4) weeks to resubmit a make up prior to your graduation deadline, you may qualify for a one (1) month Client Trial Extension.
- This Client Trial Extension will be granted only if your make up Client Trial is purchased within the four (4) weeks after we notify you that a make up is required.
- Should your Client Trial not be submitted within the first month of your extension, our regular extension plan fee of $200 USD per month will apply and those payments will commence automatically. Please see Extension & Incompletion Policy for more details.
Final Exam
Should you receive less than a passing grade of 80% on a Final Exam, you have the option to complete one (1) make up Final Exam within two (2) weeks for a fee of $75 USD.
- If you receive a ‘pass’ on your make up Final Exam, then a score of 80% will replace your previous exam score and you will be eligible to receive certification.
- If you receive a ‘fail’ on your make up Final Exam, then you have failed to complete the course and its requirements for certification. In this case, you will forfeit any tuition/fees that have been paid and will be required to re-enroll in the course and pay all necessary enrollment and tuition fees again in order to be eligible for certification.
Assignments
Should you receive less than a cumulative passing grade of 80% on the Assignment portion of a course, you have the option to complete one make up Assignment within one (1) week for a fee of $50 USD.
- If you reach a passing average after submitting one make up Assignment, then your passing score will replace your previous score for the Assignment portion of the course and you will be eligible to receive certification.
- If you are not able to achieve a passing average after submitting one make up Assignment, then you have failed to complete the course and its requirements for certification. In this case, you will forfeit any tuition/fees that have been paid and will be required to re-enroll in the course and pay all necessary enrollment and tuition fees again in order to be eligible for certification.
Please note that a score of 80% does not need to be achieved on each and every assignment, but rather the average total of all of your assignments within a course.
Payment Policy
Authorization and Receipt
If paying by credit card, you give us permission to automatically charge your credit card as payment for your enrollment in the Program, and you will receive an electronic receipt as proof of payment. For any installment payments, you give us permission to automatically charge your credit card for each installment at the time it is due without any additional authorization. You will receive an electronic receipt as proof of payment.
Late Payment Fee
We understand that there are circumstances that may prevent students from making payment(s) on time. Therefore, we will make four (4) attempts to collect the payment(s) within ten (10) days of the payment due date.
- You will receive email notifications one (1), three, (3), seven (7), and ten (10) days from the payment due date advising you to make payment.
- Failure to make the required payment after ten (10) days will result in curriculum access on the learning platform being revoked, and a Late Payment Fee of $40 USD to reinstate access.
- This Late Payment Fee will apply to any payment which you fail to make within ten (10) days, including but not limited to Payment Plans and Extension Plans.
- You give us permission to automatically charge your credit card for each Late Payment Fee when Program access is reinstated, without any additional authorization, and you will receive an electronic receipt as proof of payment.
The Late Payment Fee of $40 USD and loss of curriculum access on the learning platform will apply in each instance where a payment is late by more than ten (10) days.
- If three (3) instances of late payments occur, then we will require that the entire remaining tuition balance be paid before restoring curriculum access on the learning platform.
- This balance can be paid in full for immediate access, or if you have not previously deferred your Program, you can continue to make monthly installments on a payment plan for up to a maximum of six (6) months until the remaining balance of your tuition has been paid.
- If you are eligible and choose to continue your payment plan, you will regain access to the learning platform and be able to continue your studies only when your tuition is paid off in full.
- If you have any Late Payments during this period, you will be required to immediately pay the remaining balance in full to regain access to the curriculum, otherwise, seven (7) days after the Late Payment you will be automatically withdrawn from the Program. In this case, you will forfeit any tuition/fees that have been paid.
- If you wish to continue the Program, you will have to re-enroll as a new student and pay all associated enrollment and tuition fees again.
You agree that you are fully responsible for the full payment of the Program tuition fees and agree to make all payments, including any and all Late Payment Fees. Failure to do so can result in us pursuing necessary steps to collect all outstanding fees; up to and including legal action.
International Charges
OBN was founded in Canada, with students joining us from around the world. Tuition payments are charged in USD. Depending on your financial institution, tuition may be subject to international charges based on where you are located. If you notice any such charges, we recommend reaching out to your financial institution to discuss any international fees they may have in place. Please note that OBN does not apply any additional charges beyond the stated program tuition.
Program Deferral Policy
If you are enrolled in a Program and are unable to continue your studies for any reason, you may request to defer your Program for up to six (6) months. In order to complete this request, students may submit a Deferral Request Form and confirm their request through a link received via email after the form has been submitted.
- Secondary confirmation must be submitted in order for your deferral request to be reviewed and approved.
- The start date of your deferral will be considered the date you confirmed your deferral request.
- Should you delay confirming your deferral from the time the initial form is submitted, please note that your deferral start date cannot be backdated or adjusted.
- Your deferral request will take up to five (5) business days to be approved.
- You will not have access to the course materials during a Program Deferral.
- You cannot defer select courses within your program; a program deferral must include your entire course load.
- Program Deferrals must be requested before your Graduation Deadline.
- Each student is only eligible for one program deferral for up to six (6) months during their studies.
Client Trials and Make Up Work
If you have only submitted one of two Client Trials for the course you are currently completing, you will need to either complete and submit the second Client Trial before your deferral or resubmit both Client Trials once you return from your deferral. It is your responsibility to update these Client Trials as needed if the submission instructions or requirements have been updated while you were deferred.
You must also submit any outstanding make up work before a deferral will be granted. If you are on a monthly installment payment plan, you will only be able to request a deferral when your tuition payments are up to date, and these payments will continue during your deferral period.
Deferral Period End
At the end of your deferral period, your program access will begin again automatically. There are no re-enrollment fees associated with resuming the Program after a Program Deferral however, students who take a deferral are no longer eligible for a refund should they later withdraw from the program.
- Once you resume the Program, the time remaining on your initial contract will remain the same during the new enrollment period.
- If you require additional time to graduate beyond this, any and all additional extensions will fall under the standard Extension Period, which is a monthly subscription-based Extension Period with a fee of $200 USD per additional month required.
- Students who take a deferral will no longer be eligible to apply for the Special Extension or the Late Extension.
If you fail to initiate the request for a Program Deferral, have not been approved for a Program Deferral, have not completed the Program, or have not requested an extension (Extension Period Policy) prior to your Graduation Deadline, you understand and acknowledge that you have failed to complete the Program and all its requirements for Certification.
Therefore, you will not receive Certification from the Program or Oh Baby School of Holistic Nutrition and will forfeit any and all tuition and fees paid. Please refer to the Refund & Withdrawal Policy for additional details regarding fee responsibilities in the event of Program incompletion for individuals on Installment payment plans.
Upgrade Policy
OBN Students and Graduates are welcome to upgrade their certification anytime during or after their studies. If you are enrolled in the Master I Certification Program, the Advanced Certification Program, or the Single Certification Program, and wish to upgrade your certification, you can do so directly through your student dashboard.
Once an upgrade has been purchased and processed, you will then be provided with a unique and updated graduation deadline. Furthermore, please note that upgrades remain non-refundable and non-reversible, regardless of whether you have accessed the upgraded course material or not.
Downgrading & Program Change Policy
If you are enrolled in the Master II Certification Program, Master I Certification Program, or the Advanced Certification Program, have not previously deferred your enrollment, and wish to downgrade to a Master I Certification Program, Advanced Certification Program, or Single Certification Program, respectively, then you must submit a request to downgrade to support@ohbabynutrition.com prior to Week 5 of the program. Please note that the 5-week window is from your program start date.
- During or after Week 5, or if you have previously deferred your enrollment, you are no longer eligible for a downgrade.
- Submitting a request to downgrade under either circumstance will be considered a withdrawal and not a downgrade; in which case the Refund & Withdrawal Policy will apply.
- There is a $200 USD Downgrading fee, and the time remaining on your initial contract will be adjusted/lowered to reflect the Graduation Deadline associated with the new downgraded Certification Program.
- If you require additional time to graduate beyond this, the Extension & Incompletion Policy will apply.
You will receive a pro-rata refund equivalent to the price difference between the two programs if you downgrade from one program to another; minus the $200 USD Downgrading fee as outlined above.
Should you wish to move from the Master II Certification Program into the Master II Reverse Certification Program or the Master I Certification Program to the Master I Reverse Certification, or vice versa, the request will need to be submitted and approved prior to the release of your first core course.
Certificates will be issued for each certification course upon completion. However, no certification is issued for the completion of Foundational Nutrition alone, as it is a prerequisite course. If you do not complete your certification program in full, you will still become certified in the courses that you successfully complete.
If you are interested in making any changes to the courses included in your Certification, please contact us directly at support@ohbabynutrition.com. Any course changes must be requested prior to week 5 of your studies.
AI Use & Plagiarism Policy
There is a zero-tolerance policy for the use of AI-generated content and plagiarism during your program. This is to ensure that you clearly understand the program content and are able to convey this information to your clients in your own words.
It is your responsibility to ensure that your submitted assignments, quizzes, Client Trials, and exams are not generated using AI (ChatGPT, etc.), copied from the learning material, another student/graduate, or any other outside source.
- In order to confirm that your submissions are your own, we routinely check work for the use of AI and plagiarism via third-party software. This software compares student work against both our course content and all internet sources and assesses the likelihood of a submission being generated by AI.
- In the case of any coursework submitted with AI-generated content or plagiarism, we reserve the right to remove you from the program immediately, without any refunds or Certification.
- Should plagiarism be discovered after you have successfully completed the course, we also reserve the right to revoke your Certification.
Note: Grammarly is AI writing software and coursework submitted with text generated by this software will be flagged as AI-generated content. We acknowledge that Grammarly can be a useful tool, however, we require that it be used to scan for typos and grammar only.
Scholarship Policy
Should you meet the eligibility requirements, you are welcome to apply for our partial tuition scholarships during select intake dates.
In addition to any particular requirements based on the scholarship type, to be eligible, applicants must:
-
Commit to attending and completing the program if awarded this scholarship.
-
Participate in an exit interview after graduation to share feedback about the program.
-
Agree to periodically touch base with Oh Baby during the year following certification to share their experience applying this knowledge.
To retain a scholarship, the recipient must:
-
Maintain passing grades throughout the program.
-
Graduate within 1.5x the length of the program (as per the regular requirements of the certification).
Scholarships can only be applied for the start date specified during your application.
Our scholarships are awarded as a percentage off of your tuition balance and therefore have no external monetary value and cannot be exchanged for cash.
Lifetime Scholarship Eligibility
In order to support as many students as possible, in your lifetime you will be selected as a recipient for a maximum of one (1) scholarship.
In the event that the original recipient selected is unable to enroll or start their program for any reason, the scholarship will be awarded to another applicant.
Contract Policy
Your contract must be signed prior to your start date. Failure to complete it before the end of Week 2 of the program will result in your losing access to all learning materials until the document has been signed.
In this case, your graduation deadline will not be adjusted to compensate for any time lost, and our normal refund policy will apply should you choose to withdraw for any reason.
Revocation of Certification
Our expectation is that you will abide by the terms of this Agreement. However, we reserve the right to immediately terminate this Agreement and/or revoke your Program/Curriculum enrollment and access while enrolled in the Program, Certification, and Certification Benefits at our sole discretion if you:
- Violate or breach any of the terms of this Agreement.
- Engage in illegal or unethical conduct.
- Behave unprofessionally in a way that reflects poorly on our Program, the Certification or us.

- Fail to comply with your local, county, state/provincial or federal laws.
- Fail to comply with your provincial/state or federal licensure, governing board and ethics requirements when applicable.
Should your Program/Curriculum enrollment and access while enrolled in the Program be revoked for one of the above reasons, you will lose your privilege to complete the Program and receive Certification. You also understand and fully acknowledge that you will forfeit all fees and tuition costs associated with your enrollment in the Program.
Should your Certification be revoked for one of the above reasons, you will lose your privilege to market and call yourself an Oh Baby Certified Nutrition Consultant and to use the Badge, Certification Benefits, or be listed in our online Oh Baby Certified Nutrition Consultant directory. You will be required to immediately stop using the Program and Certification Benefits and you will have 14 days following the revocation notice provided by us to remove all references to holding yourself out as an Oh Baby Certified Nutrition Consultant on your website, with your clients, and in all marketing materials, social media and otherwise. You will have the right to state that you went through the Program as a part of your bio, but you may not in any way imply or represent that you are currently an Oh Baby Certified Nutrition Consultant.
Furthermore, if Program Enrollment/Access or Certification is revoked for any of the reasons mentioned above you understand that if deemed appropriate or necessary, Oh Baby School of Holistic Nutrition may also choose to pursue legal action.

Code of Conduct
Oh Baby School of Holistic Nutrition is dedicated to providing a learning environment that is enriching, inclusive, and respectful. Our Community Code of Conduct outlines our commitments, as well as our expectations for all those enrolled in our certification programs.
We acknowledge that everyone enrolled in our programs brings a diverse set of lived experiences and that students are joining us with a diverse range of experiences in regard to women’s health.
We recognize that some may face systemic barriers or prejudice due to their intersecting identities, which can include (but are not including but not limited to) race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, religious beliefs, and sexual and gender identity.
Oh Baby School of Holistic Nutrition is committed to creating a space free from racism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, and other forms of oppression, with the goal that all our students should feel safe and supported.
Participating in a Global Community
The types of learning activities integrated into this course are designed to create a global community that encourages interactions between individuals from all over the world. Our certification programs also involve active participation and sharing of ideas through discussion boards and a student Facebook group.
In order to ensure productive, inclusive, and respectful dialogues, it is important that each individual takes responsibility for how they participate. We are communicating online, which can create many opportunities for misinterpretation without visual and/or auditory cues that accompany in-person communication.
All those who engage in Oh Baby School of Holistic Nutrition programming agree to uphold our Community Code of Conduct.
- We will engage thoughtfully, openly, and respectfully with one another.
- We will strive to accommodate those of all abilities.
- We strive to recognize the ways in which systems of oppression impact the lived experiences of individuals based on their identities.
- We will be accountable for our own prejudices and beliefs. We will work to dismantle and unlearn them, without expecting marginalized folks to educate us.
- We will aim to include gender-affirming language wherever possible; this refers to language that validates all people and their bodies, genders, and sexualities.
- We will welcome constructive feedback and are dedicated to growing as a collective.
Discrimination
Biases can be explicit, hidden, or unconscious. Regardless of intent, any aspects of identity should not cause a person’s contributions to be routinely devalued or minimized, or for the person to be excluded, diminished, or harassed. Any unchecked bias that harms a community member should be discussed with an Oh Baby School of Holistic Nutrition team member.
Personal attacks
Although we have an incredibly supportive community, conflicts may arise. However, they should never turn into a personal attack. It is not okay to insult, demean, or belittle others. Attacking someone for their opinions, beliefs, and ideas is not acceptable.
OBN Harassment Policy
The following behaviors are considered to be unacceptable in the Oh Baby community. Anyone asked to stop unacceptable behavior is expected to comply immediately, and violation of these guidelines can result in being removed from the program and stripped of their accreditation either temporarily or permanently.
We do not tolerate harassment in any form, which includes repeated subtle and/or indirect discrimination and microaggressions.
The following behaviors are considered to be unacceptable:
- Deliberate intimidation, bullying, or threats of violence
